With an altitude of 450m at the foot of Mount Koya, Amanosato is a breathtaking basin selected as one of “Japan's Top 100 Villages”.
Masako Shirasu, an essayist, once exclaimed in her “The Hidden Village” that it is “a huge field in a corner of the heavens as the name Amano (literally “belong to the sky”) suggested” and “this is the true, real definition of a paradise”.
